Each year around the Christmas holidays Universal Studios Orlando has a nightly parade. It features real floats from the Macy's holiday parade in New York, so they call it the Macy's parade. It last about 20 minutes or so.
Since I live in Orlando and have my own theme park tourist site I decided to take a lot of pictures of the parade and share them with you as well as putting them in my own site. A few hours before the parade characters in many different holiday costumes walk around the park.
Since it's Universal Studios the holiday outfits are unusual and a bit surprising. They don't stick to the normal Christmas theme of Santa, Elf's and Jack Frost. No in here you get to see cool pirates, mother goose and walking cupcakes!
You also see many characters on stilts like Uncle Sam, woodsmen and ladies dressed in skin tight candy cane outfits with cane hats, my favorite! Walking story books, 60's era Hollywood stars, girls in bathrobes and many other wacky outfits can be found here.
The parade starts at 7:00 PM and begins way at the back of the park. It works it's way around the lake and up to the front of the park, then back down in a circle. I picked a place across from the Terminator show.
I knew at that spot is when the parade stops for a few seconds and lets the walking characters do their dances and so on. It's also a spot that has confetti blown out from the rooftops! Plus the buildings there look nice with holiday decorations.
So enjoy my slide show of Universal Studios Macy's holiday parade pictures. I also have a slideshow of Universal Studios Christmas holiday pictures too!

SaaaaWeet! I think the candy cane ladies got it goin on! Hummm...Maybe I should invest some time into making myself some stilts and just go cruzin around my neighborhood. That could be a recipe for disaster, for now I will keep my feet planted on the ground.
